Grant F. will soon be working on his Eagle project and has the following manpower needs:
- 6 Scouts and 2 adults on the 12th of June
- 2 Scouts and 1 adult on the 18th of June
If more scouts and adults come that is great. Grant advised that because of the nature of the work being done that he has a real need for multiple Scouts that are 14 and older.
Meet up with Grant and the team 250 Dairy Barn Ln, Fort Mill, SC , 29715. They plan to start at 9am and go to 3pm each day and lunch will be provided.

A camping trip is scheduled for the Ann Springs Greenway Friday June 17th to June 19th . We’ll meet at 6pm on Friday at the Rush Pavilion and pick up at the same location at 8am on Sunday morning. Cost is $15. We have two camping opportunities that weekend.
- Troop camping which includes service hours, working on rank advancement and camping as a troop.
- The Backpacking Merit Badge scouts will continue gaining experience backpacking. We’ll cover 10 miles over the 3 days. If you’re interested in Philmont this is great opportunity to get the experience needed for that trip. This is the last chance to join in the merit badge this year.

Choosing your merit badge classes and completing payment are certainly an important part of preparing for summer camp, but another part, when overlooked, could mess up your plans to attend. The BSA Health Form (2014 edition) has three parts – all of which must be completed within a year to attend summer camp. Part C specifically has to be completed by medical personnel.
Use THIS LINK to get a PDF copy of the most recent edition of the health form and get it completed and turned in to Mr. Starnes at an upcoming meeting.
We are fast approaching the deadline for making the final payment for 2016 summer camp at Ho Non Wah. Our thanks to all those who have paid their camp balances in full. As it currently stands, approximately 70% of the scouts who are planning on attending summer camp have outstanding balances. We need to get these paid as quickly as possible.
Jim Weller will be at the regularly scheduled scout meeting tomorrow (5/9) to collect checks and cash (please bring exact amount if possible) and will also be at the church on Tuesday May 10 from 6-7PM for those unable to make the meeting on Monday night. You are still able to pay any amount online at the Troop 108 website using PayPal by using the widget in the right hand column of the site.
If you do not know your balance or wish to check on your scout’s fund-raising account (money raised through popcorn or camp card sales) please ask Jim Weller on Monday or Tuesday night.
The troop needs everyone to make every effort to get this balance paid in the coming days to maintain your scout’s assured attendance at scout camp.

The patrol leaders’ council is made up of the senior patrol leader, who presides over the meetings; the assistant senior patrol leader, all patrol leaders, and the troop guide(s). The patrol leaders’ council plans the yearly troop program at the annual troop program planning conference. It then meets monthly to fine-tune the plans for the upcoming month.
Only members of the PLC or Patrol Leader’s Council (listed above) need to attend monthly PLC meetings. The PLC is held on the Monday following the second Thursday (which is district roundtable night) so that any information brought up at the district roundtable can be considered in planning for the upcoming month’s meetings and future outings.
There is no official opening or closing and it will end as soon as the Patrol Leader’s Council has completed their meeting.

Troop 108 provides canoes for Earthday attendees to enjoy to paddle around the lake near the Dairy Barn on the ASC Greenway between 10AM and 2PM. This year we will stay after the Earthday festivities are over and camp overnight in the field near the lake we’ll be canoeing in.
Parents are asked to drop off their scout(s) with their camping gear at 9AM on Saturday at the Dairy Barn. Please make sure all scouts bring their scout book with them to work on activities after 2 o’clock.
Scouts and their gear can be picked up at the Dairy Barn starting at 9AM on Sunday morning. Parents are reminded to please be timely in picking up your scouts.
Fee for the event is $15.00 (plus a small Paypal fee).

We’ve added a convenient button on the right side of this screen that allows you to enter any amount to submit it to the troop via Paypal toward summer camp. Keep in mind that Paypal will keep a small amount to process your payment, so use the calculator located HERE and look in the green box on that website to determine how much to add to your payment so that the troop receives the correct end amount.
