Medical Forms & Medications Requirements For Summer Camp
Medications For Camp
We will have a special table set up at our departure point on Sunday, July 10th to handle the turn in of medications that will be needed by our scouts during our week at camp. We ask that parents abide by the following guidelines when preparing their scout’s medications for camp:
- Place all medications in a zip-lock type plastic bag with the scout’s name on it.
- Keep the medications in the original prescription bottle/container
- Include a filled out copy of the BSA’s Routine Drug Administration Record (click here for a copy)
The BSA’s Guide to Safe Scouting has the following regarding medications while on trips:
BSA Medical Forms
Scouts and scouters without a complete BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A, B and C) will not be allowed to participate in summer camp activities with the Troop. Scouts that show up at departure without a complete and approved medical form (or don’t have a current completed form on file with the troop) will be denied travel with the troop to attend camp. Parents may take the scout to get a physical completed and documented on the BSA form (available for download below) and may then bring the scout and completed form to camp to complete the duration of the week. This is BSA policy and the troop cannot make changes to it. The BSA Annual Health and Medical Record can be downloaded HERE.
