Winter Court of Honor & Eagle Ceremony

Court of Honor

The Court of Honor is a special event where we publicly recognize the achievements of our scouts and leaders.   While they get the physical patches at regular meetings, we reserve the official cards for presentation at our Court of Honors.   Parents are encouraged to wear their parents ribbon upon which they proudly display the parents pins associated with their scout’s achievements.

The Winter Court of Honor will be held on December 15th, 2009 in the sanctuary of Unity Presbyterian Church. Parents are asked to be in the sanctuary by 6:30pm for a parent’s meeting and scouts should report to our regular meeting room by 6:30pm to begin preparation for the event.

Each family is asked to bring a finger food or drink to Unity Hall prior to the parent’s meeting.   Everyone will enjoy these durng the fellowship time after the Court of Honor.

The actual Court of Honor will begin promptly at 7pm.

Following the closing of the usual Court of Honor will be a truly special event.   We will then open an Eagle Court of Honor where scout Walt Johnson will receive the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.   Every scout should witness this presentation as it is the culmination of many years of scouting and many, many hours of hard work on the part of the new Eagle Scout, his family and his leaders.

After the close of all of the events, we ask everyone to join us in Unity Hall for light refreshments and fellowship.
