Troop 108 is halfway through the week at Camp John J. Bardhardt and tonight was family night with visitors dropping in for a while and lots of fun.
Reports are that things are better at camp now that the temperature has dropped and there has been some rain in the area. Hopfully our scouts and leaders will have a strong finish to the week.
Here is the “official” Troop 108 picuture from Camp John J. Barnhardt from 2010. You can click on the picture to be taken to a large version of it suitable for printing.
A reminder to all OA members. Please remember to bring your sashes to summer camp.
There will be on more chance to take the BSA swim test this weekend at the Baxter YMCA at 12 noon.
If you can not make it to Baxter on Saturday, you can take the swim test at camp John J. Barndardt. They have a very nice pool there.
Scouts are meeting in the Bi-Lo parking lot on Hwy 160 West at 10:30am on Sunday, June 27th.
Each scout should bring a case of water and and enough money to purchase lunch on the way to camp.
Parents are invited to visit camp on Wednesday evening. If you want to eat with the troop (nacho bar), please let the scoutmaster know as soon as possible.
The troop will return to the scout hut at around noon on July 3rd.
Don’t forget to bring a 2-liter drink and/or finger food (like chips, cookies or crackers) to the Court of Honor on Tuesday night.
We will enjoy these after the COH during fellowship time.

Because of difficulties in reserving a meeting place, the Troop 108 Court of Honor has been moved to June 22nd at 7pm at St. Johns United Methodist Church Family Life Center (across from the Fort Mill Fire Department on Tom Hall Street). This is the same location that we held our Court of Honor last December.
Parents should come in and be seated and scouts will wait in the lobby area.
Scouting families are encouraged to bring a finger food or 2-liter drink for refreshments following the event.
