Congratulations to Steve Finch who was selected as one of three recipients of the District Award of Merit (aka The Palmetto Award) winners at last night’s York District Banquet.
Steve has been instrumental in working with Eagle Scout candidates from Troop 108 on their leadership projects for Eagle as well as with preparations for the final Eagle Board of Review itself.
This award looks beyond what the recipient has done on the local unit level. Steve has served on the York District Eagle Board of Review for a number of years, most recently as it’s chairman. He also has served on the Palmetto Council Shooting Sports Committee for several years. Many of the council’s youth leaders will remember Steve’s guidance and leadership from when he help staff both SEALS and NYLT courses in the Palmetto Council.
Again, congratulations to Steve on his selection for this much deserved recognition.
